James entered Stanley Royd or Wakefield Mental Hospital; as it was known then in 1929, within a year he had sadly died aged just 26

The Hospital simply sent a standard Telegram to his young widow Evelyn and his infant daughter to inform them he had died that day. 

Evelyn went on to marry again but never forgot   her Rugby playing first husband who was buried in Becket St Cemetery…
